A senior at Pattonville High School, Isaiah Gadson is involved in Chess Club and tennis. Besides school activities, he enjoys watching sports outside of school. On Feb. 3, he enjoyed the Super Bowl like many other students who are fans of football.

Mayte Santos: Why is the Super Bowl important to you?

Isaiah Gadson: “It’s a family tradition to watch the Super Bowl together. I like football. I’ve been to a couple games with my dad.”

MS: Why are you a fan of the Ravens?

IG: “I like Ray Lewis. I think he is awesome. He has a good mentality about playing and he is a really great player. I respect his leadership.”

MS: Was the Super Bowl what you expected?

IG: “Yeah, I expected the Ravens to win. I think they are a better team than the 49ers. I expected better commercials, but some were worse than last year.”

MS: Were you excited about the game?

IG: “I was all pumped up and cheered when the Ravens scored.”

MS: What was your favorite Super Bowl commercial?

IG: “There were a few good ones. One of my favorite ones was the ‘Go Daddy’ commercial. I thought it was funny and strange when the model kissed the nerd. I could not stop watching it.”
