5 Questions With Kalen Riley

Kalen Riley is a sophomore at Pattonville. In the upcoming musical, “Guys and Dolls,” he plays one of the male leads, Sky Masterson. The musical opens on Feb. 14 and closes on Feb. 17.

Q1) What made you want to audition for the musical?

A1) I’ve sang ever since I was a little kid, and I wanted to do something else with it.

Q2) What’s it like working on the musical?

A2) It was hard at first because I’ve never acted before, that was my biggest struggle, but besides that, it was a lot of fun.

Q3) Have you made any new friends while working on the musical?

A3) Actually yes, and I’ve made stronger friendships than I had before with other people.

Q4) Are you guys prepared for opening night?

A4) Oh, I’ve been ready for like a week.

Q5) What are you going to miss about the musical when it’s over?

A5) Probably the practices, mainly because it’s just something fun to do after school, and it gets my mind off homework.
