Guys and Dolls was a great stage performance

Guys+and+Dolls+was+a+great+stage+performance

Many Pattonville High School students gathered to put on an amazing show for the general public from Feb. 14-17. The three months of intensive rehearsals paid off with a wonderful performance from an amazing company of students.

Guys and Dolls is a show about a group of crapshooters trying to keep the longest established crap game going. Meanwhile, the leader of the crapshooters, Nathan Detroit (played by Aaron Landgraf, 12) makes a bet with notorious gambler Sky Masterson (played by Kalen Riley, 10) that he can not convince a Mission Doll Sarah Brown (played by Sarah Vik, 11) to go to Havana with him. With all of the gambling going on in New York, the missionaries strive to convince the New Yorkers to give up the sin that is in their hearts.

Kyle Baldwin (10) said his favorite experience was getting to know everyone involved in the show and would like to say to his fellow cast members, “Thanks for an awesome experience.”

The show went off without a hitch. If you didn’t get a chance to see Guys and Dolls, many involved in the musical with take their talents over to the student directed one acts in the last theatre performance of the 2012-2013 school year.
