This past weekend, the Pattonville choir and orchestra took a trip to Nashville, Tenn., for a competition. They left at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, and returned at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 14. While choir placed 3rd in their competition, orchestra managed to place 1st.
Not only did each group participate in their competitions, they also visited some of the most famous sites in Nashville. They went to Studio B, the Country Music Hall of Fame, downtown Nashville, the Parthenon, President Andrew Jackson’s home, the Wildhorse Saloon, the Hard Rock Café, and finally, the Grand Ole Opry.
The choir and orchestra went to the Grand Ole Opry on Friday night and saw artists such as Lonestar and Chuck Wicks perform.
