Hunter’s English classroom is being transformed to an art gallery

Like their homes, teachers each have a different way of decorating their classrooms; a place where they spend most of their time.

Ms. Haley Hunter, an English teacher at the high school since 2016, has found a unique way to style her classroom.

“I had a lot of art work from friends before I started to teach and I thought my classroom would be a great place for it.”

In the past year, students have given Hunter different art projects and pictures, which are displayed all around her room.

“Eventually students caught on to all of the art work and began to bring me different items.”

Everything that students give her shows that not only does she appreciate her students, but they appreciate her too.

“I hope it says I appreciate the things they make for me because I really do appreciate it.”

Hunter collected a lot in just one year, but what will she do in years to come?

“By the end of my first year, I already had a lot up so a concern is that I’ll run out of room on the walls.”

Hunter said that if she does get too much art work, she will take some things down but will still keep them.
