Freshman Mady Clark might be new to the high school, but she has enough experience in cheerleading to make a spot hers on the varsity cheerleading squad.

Q. What position are you?

A. I am a main base and a flyer sometimes.

Q. How did you get into cheerleading?

A. I got into cheerleading because I used to be a competitive gymnast.

Q. Do you enjoy working with Coach Kali?

A. Yes, I do enjoy working with Kali. She trains us hard and pushes us to do our best.

Q. How prepared do you feel about competing at the state cheer competition?

 A. I feel pretty prepared. I’m still working on one more skill, but I am prepared.

Q. How hard do your coaches push you at practice?

A. Practices can be hard, but I know that I will become a better cheerleader.

Q. When do you guys push yourselves the hardest?

A. We push ourselves every day to train hard so we can improve and do our best at state.

Q. Can you describe a normal practice?

A. A normal practice is normally filled with some tumbling, conditioning, stunts, and running our routine.

Q. What’s it like getting to be friends with the upperclassmen?

A. It’s amazing being able to work with the upperclassmen. I couldn’t ask for any other people to be around. They have been so helpful to this new transition to the high school and I couldn’t thank them enough for all that they have done for me. I have learned so much since I started cheerleading from their amazing leadership skills and I couldn’t be more excited to start this year thanks to the amazing upperclassmen.
