How to Dress for Spirit Week

IMG_7374

Spirit week is the one time out of the school year that everyone shows how much Pattonville pride they have. With all the fun theme days this year, finding the perfect outfit may be difficult. Here are some ideas if you need help thinking of what to wear.

Monday: Pajama Day

Go through your bedroom drawers and find the craziest PJ pants or maybe the old footie pajamas that are never worn. Everyone can rock Snuggies, robes, slippers, bed-head and eye masks.

Tuesday: Disney Day

Cutting out two black circles and attaching them to the head could be Mickey Mouse ears! Old Boy Scouts uniforms could be worn to be Russell from Up. Also, just wearing a Disney T-shirt can be counted.

Wednesday: Ugly Sweater/Crazy Sock Day

Ask old relatives and parents if they have any old hand-me-downs or oversized sweaters from the 80s. Red Racks and Goodwill are two stores that carry a wide variety of sweaters at great prices.

Thursday: Duck Dynasty Day

This day is all about the camouflage and the beards. Wal-Mart carries Ducky Dynasty merchandise and Halloween stores such as Spirit have beards for sale. For a cheaper route, grow a beard…but if that’s not possible, just use face paint and paint one on.

Friday: Class Color Day

For this day, anything goes: face paint, tutus, hair spray, glitter, and crazy, colorful outfits.

SENIORS – Green

JUNIORS – Red

SOPHOMORES – Blue

FRESHMEN – Yellow

Homecoming shirts do count as points for dressing up for the day if it is worn. They are for sale at The Cove for $10 during all lunches.

Get ready Pirates…Spirit Week is coming!
