“Soccer is more than just an activity, it take character, self-control, discipline and responsibility,” Tom Iffrig, Pattonville’s Varsity Girl’s soccer team coach, said.
He said he is very proud of his team and they have high expectations about winning state.
“Most of the seniors goals’ are be State Champions, some of my personal goals are to beat St. Joseph’s or Marquette,” Iffrig said with a laugh.
He added the girls are working very hard and some even put in effort during the off-season. “A lot of the girls do endurance, speed, and agility training. Some even go to select camps.”
Even Iffrig trains for the season.
“I go to coaching clinics all over the country. I plan on receiving my National Coaching License this year.”
Some of the returning seniors on the team this year include Kailey Utley, Aubray Boulicault, Mikala McGhee, Kimmy Hulse and Kacie Hulse.
