Alex Maierhoffer a senior at Patttonville High School has played on varsity golf for three years now. Alex was very confident about the outcome of the conference game and about their team as a whole.

Alex commented about the team as, ‘It’s the best team in the last 5 or 6 years.” Alex really enjoys the team and all the success they have had this season. “We lost yesterday for the first time in like forever,” he added solemnly.

Before conference Alex was questioned if how he felt that the team was very prepared for it and would have a great outcome. “We should win, Hazelwood West is our biggest rival,” Maierhoffer added.

At conference the varsity golf surely lived up to their expectations by winning the top spot. The team members were all very excited and felt as though they earned it by putting all their hard work in one of the most important games of the season.

The team works very well as a whole and they enjoy playing together. They especially like when something occurs that makes a story. “When we played SLUH, Logan Harnetz (12) was doing the last hole he hit so far off that he hit a guy in the head and had to go to the hospital,” Maierhoffer chuckled. He added that Logan felt bad, but it was a funny story to tell.
