District basketball tournament brackets announced

The boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will begin playing in the Class 5 District 6 playoffs next week.

Brackets for the tournament were announced today.

The boys (10-12) will play host school DeSmet (9-15) in the first round on March 3 at 7:30 p.m. If the Pirates win, they will advance to play the winner of the Hazelwood Central (19-5) and Hazelwood West (10-15)/Parkway North (4-16) game.

On the girls side, Pattonville (10-10) plays Parkway North (18-4) on March 2 at 6 p.m. The winner will advance to play Hazelwood Central (20-5) and Hazelwood West (11-10).
